The PAF is an innovative climate finance mechanism designed to stimulate private investment in projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Building on PAF's success, the World Bank's Climate Auctions Program is evaluating opportunities for replication and scale-up across a range of sectors, including the Nitric Acid Climate Auctions Program (NACAP).
On January 10, 2017, the PAF held its third successful auction, allocating 13 million dollars of climate funds to reduce 6.2 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
